(no subject)
Well Dani is four months and almost two weeks. Oh how time has flown by. We have had such a great time becoming new parents. It is like a new adventure every day! I had a bout with PPD for about 3-4 weeks after her birth, which was awful, but for the most part this has been the best thing I have ever done.
Trying this cutting thing...
We have been trying rice cereal for about two weeks. Oh how she hates it! She seriously look disgusted when I put it in her mouth and spits most of it out. I am not sure what to do. I just keep trying. I figure at the very least, she is getting used to spoon. Any helpful hints or tips?
And then there is sleeping...I thought we were doing pretty well. She was consistently taking four naps. I would pick her up from daycare at 4:00 and we would immediately go the crib for nap. No problem. The last week, however, she is taking her last nap at daycare much later and does NOT want to nap in her crib when we get home.. She screams bloody murder. I mean, not even just a little fussy. Hysterical! Yesterday she screamed for about 30 minutes and then I got her up and fed her and tried again. Another 30 minutes of crying. Finally, at about 5:45 I got her up and right away she falls asleep while playing at 6:00. Her bedtime is usually around 7:00-7:30. I decided to let her nap for a little while and then get her up. Well, she would not wake up. I tried to get her to be alert, but ended up giving her a bath at about 6:45. She was half asleep. I am frustrated because she doesn't want to take a fourth nap, but if she doesn't she is ready for bed at 6:00. I don't want that because then she is up for the morning around 5:00 and we don't get to see her at night. Night times are still really touch and go. Some nights she will go all night and others she will wake many times. When will they ever start sleeping???
