geckos, geckos everywhere!
As I was walking down to the beach today, I saw a fascinating creature out sunning on a broad leaf. It was a very interesting lizard-like critter, with big eyes. It occurred to me that I might be actually looking at my first gecko, and that the other creatures I've been watching are another sort of beast. It's embarrassing to admit it, but the animal I was looking at looked so much more like the animated spokesman for Geico Car Insurance. Sad day when my information comes not just from TV, but the commercials on TV. Later, I did some research (yay Google) and discovered... they're both geckos. In fact, there are a ton of different kinds of geckos out there. Is that cool or what?
