America...Fuck Yeah!

Wow, this weekend could not have been busier. All in all, it was a good weekend, though.

On Friday, Kyle, John, me, Talia, Jeremie, Katie, and Noah G were going to sit around the apartment and drink, hang out, and watch the Sox game.....but it got postponed cause of the rain. It was cool though. We watched "The Boondock Saints;" it was my second time seeing it...it's such an awesome movie. I want to go out and buy it; it's that good. We popped in "Major Payne" after that, because we felt after all the violence of "The Boondock Saints" a comedy was in order. Before watching it that night I had only seen bits and pieces of it....and after watching it that night I still have only seen bits and pieces. We weren't really paying attention. We were all just hanging out and having a good time. Kyle, John, and Jeremie were pretty drunk and everyone else not really so much. They winded down around 2am. Jeremie turned the peephole of the door inside out just to be a jerk, and so I and a screwdriver spent about 20 minutes fixing it. I definitely put a good 5 deep dents into the door. hahaha I talked to Kyle 'til about 2:30am and then to Carline for a little bit. Kyle and I both had to be up at 7am, so we needed to go to bed.

Saturday I rolled out of bed at 7:30am or so for the longest day EVER! I had drum line that entire day. It was definitely a lot of fun, but very draining. We had the Harvard football game at Harvard and had to play for the Alumni Association before the game. Third quarter only the drum line plays, so we saddled up for the entire quarter. After wearing the drum all day, my back and shoulders kinda hurt a bit....I could really use a back and shoulder massage, guys. ;) After the football (which we lost 41-14), we had a two hour break before the Denver hockey game, so I went to The Wrap and got dinner.

I was hoping to take a two hour nap, but that definitely flew out the window oh so quickly. Katie and Talia had done a massive clean sweep of the apartment. It looks great...still not exactly sure how I got bashed. You would have thought I single-handedly destroyed the apartment. Anyway, I ate my wrap and then went and chatted with Kyle before I left for the game.

I went to the hockey game against the national champions, Denver. It was actually a pretty good game even though we lost 2-4. After the football game, I was already fried and done for the day, so you can only imagine how exhausted I was after a football game AND hockey game. I came home about 9:30pm (after being on the go since 7am) to a living room full of the entire world...and they were all drunk. I didn't mind it at all; I would totally have been right there along with them drinking and playing asshole....just not that night of all nights. I seriously just NEEDED to crash. I was so exhausted that I couldn't even see straight. I realized I needed to do laundry because I needed clean black pants for the gig on Sunday. I tried several times to take a nap as I did my laundry but everyone could not have been louder. They were extremely loud, it was ridiculous. I asked them to be quiet a few times, but they're drunk, so they're not listening. I just needed to cry in my pillow cause I was so exhausted and they were all so ridiculously loud...banging on the table every time they played a card, wrestling, talking incredibly loud. Normally, I'd be right there with them, but this time I was just so annoyed...the one night of all nights.

I finally got my laundry and everyone started to wind down. Katie went to Willis, so I saw my opportunity to actually maybe fall asleep this time. Talia came in about 5 minutes later to ask me which RA was on duty, because Paul (her friend that came to visit) locked her keys in her room and Heather was at BU at the Addison Groove Project concert. I actually didn't mind this because I'm glad she knows she can wake me up if she needs help. She said, "I'm gonna go chew some gum and then you tell me if my breath smells like alcohol." I told her I would go because she was drunk and was just gonna get herself and everyone else in trouble. I grabbed my keys (left the cell phone) and went to the 6th floor to see if Kevin (who I found out recently is the guy I called over the summer "hot biker guy" haha) was around. This is a great part of the story: the elevator gets to the 6th floor and the doors open about 3 inches! The first thought that came to my head was, "You have got to be FUCKIN' kidding me!" This happened to me one time before and the people in the elevator just pried the doors open. I tried the same, only I couldn't do it by myself...the doors didn't budge. I was like, "You can't even be serious....I don't have my cell phone....I've heard elevator horror stories; I could potentially be stuck in this elevator for 2 hours...I'm gonna have to use the little elevator phone...I can't even sit down cause the elevator floor is gross." The doors, after about 30 seconds of my trying to open them, decided it was done goofing around and nearly closed on my fingers. I hit 6 again and they opened.

Kevin wasn't around and so Talia said to try the other RAs. I left..then came back and grabbed my phone hahaha...and left again. Kiette wasn't around and neither was Patrick. I finally got a hold of Heather and she was on her way home. She was exhausted and said she would be home within the half hour. I went to Kyle's room to tell Talia and she apologized (although I wasn't really hearing it). She thanked me and I said to wake me up again if she needed anything else (and to tell Kyle to down a glass of water cause he was drunker than I had ever seen him). I finally got to bed after that.

I set my alarm early because I wanted to work on my paper before the children's concert...but I knew I wasn't going to work on it....so I set it early mainly to be an asshole. I figured if they were all gonna be loud and not let me get some sleep, they were all getting up early for no reason.

The children's concert went alright. We have to really muffle ourselves, so it was hard to hear the snare drums. But it went well. I was happy with it. I worked on my paper from about 6pm-8pm. I watched "American Dreams" (my favorite show ever, and seriously the best show on television). Joey and I watch together (whenever something good or confusing happens or it's just a commercial, we call each other and talk about it). It's fun. Carline needs to get an opportunity to sit down and watch the show...she'll love it and be hooked just like us. :) I think everyone in the world needs to watch this show.

I watched the Red Sox game with Katie, Jeremie, Ryan, and Katie in the guys' room after I finished my paper. The Sox won in like the 12th or 13th inning (I don't exactly remember). It was such a long game...longest in ALCS history. David Ortiz proved me right and came through in the clutch, just like I know he can do. It was a very sweet two run homer. :D

After that I went to bed and now here I am. The day seems to be going by rather slowly but so far it's been a good day. I'm wicked tired, so I might take a nap before Recording 1 class. Speaking of which, I'm going to lay in bed and listen to music until it's time for lunch and Gilmore Girls. :)
