Last week of work before the honeymoon. A bit of a delay since the wedding, which has a quite reasonable and boring explanation, but it is almost here. So now I guess it is logistical panic time.
How do I get from the airport(s) to the hotel(s)? We arrive at 5am, what the hell do we do with our suitcases until we check in? I ain't lugging a suitcase around Dublin all day. How much do taxis cost? How much local currency should I bring? Wait, do I need to rent a phone (my verizon phone will not work overseas). How much food can I shove into my suitcase? Is a 45 minute walk each way to a shul in a foreign country doable, especially when the weather is rainy and cold and I don't want to get lost in a foreign country?
Week 1: Dublin
Week 2: London (including a day trip to Paris via the chunnel)
Week 3: Rome

-when you use the term "honeymoon" instead of "vacation," your advisor is much more likely to approve a long trip
-when I finally graduate and get a real job, it is likely going to have 10 days vacation each year for at least the first five years (and there are I believe 13 days of yuntiff...), so this is the only trip of this magnitude I'm ever having the ability to take until I retire. Or until I get a job and say, Let's schedule my start day in two months.
