home improvement

I'm finally starting to work on my backlog of projects at home.  Next on the list, replace the electrical outlets in my bedroom.  My dad changed out all of the outlets in my house, so I'm fairly sure I can do it.  It's very simple.  Turn off the breaker, test something in the outlet to make sure that it is off, unscrew some screws, pop in the new one, and screw the wires to the new one.

Obstacles so far:
1) circuit breaker does not have a legend that says which switch is for which outlet (so I suppose I'm making that)
2) screw not wanting to turn.  Luckily I have liquid wrench, as well as needle nosed pliers, spackle and paint (for when the pliers damage the wall as I grip the screw).
3) I am not an electrician.
But I replaced one outlet last night, and so far the house hasn't burned down, so I guess I'll keep going.

The main issues are that the outlets are so old, they can't grip anything, so the plugs fall out a lot.  I could complain and ask the landlord to have an electrician swap them out, but I prefer the learning experience.
