I actually think it worked better without bringing him into it. I love John, but the only way I can see him reacting is the way he reacts in all stories where Dean isn't the perfect soldier... so fatherly-Bobby was a nice change :)

that was what I was thinking. It would have been a whole second chapter of John ranting and pulling Dean apart. It's not fun to write a man pulling apart his kid. I dont want to write it. You can't make me *pulls tongues* :D

Loved it.

You write the boy's (and Bobby's) voices so perfectly, I was picturing each scene as I read it.
