(no subject)
It's another end of weekend update!! Whee, isn't life grand? So yeah. Kind of glad I didn't make it home to Lake George this weekend.... as this went down right across the street from my dad's place. In all likelihood I would have been headed back here by the time it happened, but it still creeps me right the fuck out. Instead, I stayed at home, and did way too much physics and statistics homework. I got only 2/3 of the way through my physics, but I am fairly certain the last two problems won't be terribly difficult based on my initial read through. Yesterday was the Barktober Fest at Lollypop. Work was one of the sponsors and I won't even get into the irony of a pharma company sponsoring a dog event. They used to do dog studies at our site, I'm very glad we don't do research here anymore. *blech*
In an effort to avoid doing my homework, I made another batch of my absolutely fabulous curried lentil soup to bring for lunches this week. I tweaked some things from the last recipe, so we'll see how well it reheats. I do wish I had another can of coconut milk, as I doubled the recipe but only put the single recipe quantity in. Oh well, these things happen. And speaking of food, I'm PMS'ing like crazy and want nothing more than something super greasy and fried, covered in cheese. Cheese fries come to mind, hopefully people are headed out to the Distillery tonight. If not, I have some sushi poppers left over in the fridge from earlier today, and that will have to do.
So yeah, this weekend was absolutely gorgeous. Super warm during the day, with that bite to the air at night that signals fall. We haven't had to turn our heat on yet, and this is a good good thing. And I'm fairly certain that mfisher is quite happy as well, as RG&E is in his name. I need to investigate buying a snowblower / snowthrower, because neither one of us is in any condition to be shovelling this winter. We shall see what pops up. And with that, it's off to finish my homework and/or convince people to go out so I can get my grease fix.
