Hoops
I was just recently introduced to Damn Portlanders and the awesome community of people who frequent those pages, and I've been wanting to join in the discussions rather than just lurking. So, being a complete newbie to LiveJournal, I created a very basic profile so that I could sign up to take part in the fun.
Then I asked to join the DP group. Four days ago. No luck yet.
Hadn't heard back, so a good friend (and the reason I'm here in the first place) posted a thread asking for guidance on how I can get approval. Seems that in order to keep bots and creeps from spoiling the fun that moderators have to approve new requests. 'Tis quite understandable, though I suspect since my profile had very few details that I might have seemed suspect and therefore was denied entry.
So here I am! With my very first blog post! Please DP, won't you let me join now?
