I love your warm and friendly people. I love the natural smiles that come straight from the heart. I love the Sinhalese, Tamil, Muslim and Christian cultures of the island. I love the the pure sound of Sanskrit and Pali prayers from the temples at 6:00 am. I love the wonderful cuisine.
I love being in Anuradhapura for the Poson Poya day. I love taking the 138 home to Nugeododa from Pettah. I long to conquer Adam's Peak again and admire the Colombo harbour from the distance helped the first rays of the sun. I love Mt Lavinia's crimson sunsets, swimming in Hikkaduwa and admiring the views from Unawatuna's Romasthala.
I love the Temple of the Tooth and the peaceful lake side of Kandy. I love the view of the fields from the Lankatillake temple. I love the exotic feel of Putahalam after sunset. I love climbing Sigiriya and admiring Kashayapa's hydraulic prowess millenia ahead of his time.
I love seeing the lights of the Kirinda lighthouse from Ella. I love sitting in the salon car from Badulla to Colombo.
