Post fic wrap-up + HBP
I still can't believe the fic is finished. I enjoyed writing it immensely but it's still such a load off my shoulders... I keep thinking "I have something to do" and then remembering that I don't. It's interesting, the inspiration for Across A Wizard's Heart came from the discussion threads about the Pensieve scene in the Sugar Quill forums. After Ootp came out people were analysing that scene to death and that's actually where the plot bunnies were spawned. I'm sure you can recognise a lot of the elements in the fic, particularly the first chapter, if you go back and read those threads. It feels like yesterday that I was reading those! Who knows, maybe I'll get more plot bunnies from there after I read HBP :)
I'm loving this frenzy over HBP and how excited everyone is. I feel so wonderfully restless, which is silly since I won't be getting my hands on the book for another week or so :( I got the email from Amazon that it's been sent out today which means it'll get here in five days or so... But since I'll be out of town from the 17th until the 25th... I don't know how I'm going to wait, I really wish I could share the excitement with everyone! I'm definitely staying away from my flist tomorrow though - I haven't been spoiled in the least and I don't plan to be.
