Four leagues, four completed regular seasons. Let's go to the videotape.
Predicate Pigskin, 20 teams. Finished 14th of 20 (6-7) and last in my division against at least one team that started 2 injured players every week for the last 7 weeks. That team made the playoffs. So yeah.
Insane League, 12 teams. So-called because we start 6 offensive and 11 defensive players every week. Plus 3 special teams players, including a punter and a head coach. Finished 9-5 (thanks to a sweet 8-game win streak) and made the playoffs as a #5 seed. But don't don't get too excited; I make the playoffs in this league almost every year and have yet to win one.
Work League, 12 teams. What's special about this league? We play for money. Finished 5-9 thanks to unrelenting injury problems, 10th of 12. There's $50 I won't see again.
Austin League, 10 teams. Complete domination: made the playoffs as the top team in the league in wins (10) and points (1400+). Just finished sitting out my first-round playoff bye and am looking like the team to beat.
