I've known her for what, 12, 13 years now. And while I'd noticed the anti semitic reactions in her, carefully muted though, I never paid much attention because you know, she was kind of a regular person, Roman Catholic, with pet dogs, and fond of nice wine and bacon and salt pork and summery latin clothing etc. etc. But recently the islamophilia has been growing in her just as more and more atrocities are happening all over everywhere in the name of islam. I found that a little hard to accept, having read the koran in entirety, which hasn't exactly produced a favourable impression on me. Several parts of it are completely vile, actually.
And right after the massacre in France, this woman comes out with replies to my query about how her friends in France are doing which pretty much shook me :( I don't know how I'll ever interact with her ever again. Well, at least she lives very far away. The sorriest part is that the change in her might just possibly be coming through interactions with an Iranian woman who's her friend. I fear, I very much fear this will not end well for her. But there's nothing I can do. I don't wish to be collateral damage in any way whatsoever, so I suppose the best way is to stay the hell away. If she ever reopens interactions, I will respond, politely, but that is all.
