Alan Rusbridger had no problem justifying the press's freedom to inform the public about mass surveillance
remarkable that the whole thing happened at all. With the British press having obtained the right to its freedom from political control in the 17th century, here was parliament calling a newspaper to account for exercising that freedom.
And here I was thinking UK could go no lower than sucking off an erstwhile colony - USA. Silly me !
