This is the restored footage (only highlights, they're still working on the rest of it after discovering the raw footage was recorded over in the 80s) of the Apollo 11 moon landing. I'm 41 years old, and watching this still makes me feel like a little kid. Much the same as Walter Cronkite did in the clip you see here.
Thank you President Kennedy, NASA, Astronauts Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins and everyone who was involved at any level to make this happen. The perfect way to honor all the thousands and thousands of hours that made this happen is to take politics out of the mix right now and set our sights on doing something to make us all great again.
Not just for America but for the entire world. It's more than possible, and likely easier than ever to have a vision and see it through. We've taken the small steps, it's time for the giant leap to benefit all mankind now.
Happy Moon Day, everyone.
