I ventured farther into the library last weekend than I have in years. I went through the fiction section and just kind of browsed for twenty minutes and have made decisions to read some more Ray Bradbury (though I went and bought a copy of Dandelion Wine knowing I would want to read that sooner than later) and Jorge Luis Borges. I've got a great collection of Harlan Ellison short stories in the office upstairs, so that's got to be on the list, too, but this list is getting long and I don't know how I'm going to read it all as soon as I want to. Also purchased a copy of Casino Royale to compare Ian Fleming's short stories to novel. Then there's Graham Greene and Somerset Maugham collections I've set aside that need to be picked up.
There are so many books. SO MANY.
It's a bit overwhelming. They will be my guides as I venture into the world of true authorship. I wish I had more time, but not at the expense of anything else. How's that for being careful?
Also discovered another OTR show called Dark Fantasy that I want to check out. Thank God for the Internet Archive.
