love is not an obligation, but i belive love comes with certain responsibilities
you have a responsibility to treat someone you love as you would like to be treated, if not better
it is commonly accepted that before you can love someone, you have to love yourself.
so to this end i belive you have yet another responsibility to yourself to not put up with bad treatment from anyone.
im not saying that one shouldnt be forgiving however, everyone has a right in a relationship, or friendship, to be treated as one deserves.
dont let anyone walk over you, even if u love someone certain behavior is not acceptable
have value in yourself and surround yourself with people who appreciate you, respect you, and in turn, respect themselves enough not to let others treat them like shit
