"So, mom, what are you doing here so... unexpectedly?" Erica asks. "I just came to see my granddaughter and my baby girl is that such a crime?" Angela says to her daughter. "No, not at all but you could have at least called." "You sounded just like Elise when I went to see her last week." "You went to see Elise, too?" Erica asks. "Yes, I did." "Um ... if you don't mind me interrupting , but may I ask who is Elise?" Callie asks Erica and Angela. "Oh, dear you are not interrupting anything. Elise is my other daughter." Angela says to Callie. "You have a sister?" Callie asks Erica. "What kind of friend are you, Eri? Your friend doesn't know you ave a sister?" "I didn't know that she had a daughter until today." Callie says looking at Erica. "What is your problem? Does your friend know anything about you? Anyway, yes, Elise is my other daughter." "Who's older?" Callie asks Angela. "Elise is by 3 minutes." Angela says. "Wait, what?" Callie is confused. "They're twins." "You have a twin?!" Callie looks at Erica. "Thanks mom." Erica says sarcastically. "Mom, do you mind if I talk to Callie? Erin, Dalila why don't you guys go and take her upstairs and show her you school project?" "Both of the girls look at Erica knowing that they need to get Angela out of the room so that Erica could talk to Callie. "Yeah, Grandma, Dalila and I are partners on this school project. Come upstairs so that we can show it to you." "And while your up there you can put your bags in the guest bedroom." Erica says to her mother. "Okay."Angela says knowing that look on her daughters face. As Angela and the girls go upstairs Erica looks at Callie. "Was it such a big deal that you couldn't tell me that you had a twin either?" "Callie uh... let's sit down. You can ask me anything you like and I will answer." They walked over to the couch and sat down. "Ask me anything." "Why didn't you tell me you had a twin sister?" "It never came up."Erica said as she looked at Callie. "You never asked if I had any siblings." I can't be mad at her for that I never did ask if she had any brothers or sisters. Or children for that matter. Callie thought to herself. "Are you identical?" "Yeah, we are do you want to see a picture?" "Yes, please." Erica stood up, walked over to her entertainment stand and grabbed a book that Callie never noticed before. Erica flipped through the pages before she found the most recent on of her and her sister. "Here's one." Erica said as she handed the book over to Callie. "God." Callie said as she looked at the picture. Both of the had on button down shirts(one was white one was black.) and they both had on jeans(one pair was white and one pair was black). Both of their hair was down and straight. "Which one are you?" "Um... that one." Erica pointed to the one in the black shirt and white pants. "Wow you guys look exactly alike." "So is that all that you want to ask me?" "Uh... How did you and Dalia's mom meet? I noticed that you never got to answer the question." Erica was nervous. It was six years ago... Six years ago- Erica was at this bar that her friend Kimberly dragged her out to. Kimberly was dancing with some guy while she sat at the bar not really wanting to be there. As she started on her second drink a woman came up to her. "You looked kind of lonely over here." "My friend dragged me out here, said I need to get out of the house." "My friend did the same thing said I needed to unwind before I start my new job in a week.I'm Karen by the way." "Erica." " Pretty name for a pretty lady." Erica was pretty sure that this woman was flirting with her. "Do you want to go outside and talk?" Karen asked Erica. "Sure." They walked from the bar to outside of the club. They talked for about 20 minutes. Before Erica knew what was happening Karen was kissing her. She had never been attracted to a woman before. "Uh... I've never done this before. I've never kissed a woman before." "Oh, my God. I am so sorry." Maybe we should just go inside and just go our separate ways." "I think that would be for the best." Erica answers.
One week later-Erica is picking up Erin from school. It is her third day back since her Dad had died. Erin is smiling and skipping to her Erica smiles seeing that her little girl is so happy. Erin jumped into her mom's arms. " Hey, baby. Why are you so happy?" "I made a new friend today and we want to know if she can come over tomorrow? She is over there with her mom, will you come and meet them?" "Sure. Lead the way." Erica said as she put her daughter on the ground. As she was walking up to Dalila and her mom, her mom had her backed turned away from them. "Mommy this is Dalila and her mom. Dalia's mom turned around. As soon as she saw Erica they both froze Dalila's mom was Karen."Hi." "Hi." "And that is how we met." Erica said as she looked at Callie. Callie didn't know why but she felt really jealous hearing that story. "Is that all of the questions you have?" "For now." "Well until you can think of more questions let's go and see how the girls and Mom are doing. Shall we?" Callie got up and started following Erica up the stairs.
