last night

we stopped at the view on our way to megans around 10. most people were talking and smoking but i just kinda secluded myself on the middle part of the stone wall. janet did the same, only she was like 5 feet away. i dont know why but i just leaned on the wall at the view and just looked across at the nyc skyline and the bright lights on the gw bridge. for like 15 minutes or so i just completely cleared my mind and took everything in. it was probably the most peaceful time i've had in a very long while. janet was like "ya know those people driving across the bridge don't even know we exist". thats true. i love the view at night. it could have been a bit warmer, but i still enjoyed it.

at like 11 45 i walked home from megans. i could have gotten a taxi with sarah and mcgraw but i chose not to. janets house is on the way home so i walked with her til then and then walked alone at like midnight. i think i saw jack pool and he said hi but since ive never met him idk if it was actually him. from janets house i walked in the middle of the street the whole way home. thats what i love about late night. no ones around. the center of streets are more raised than the sides, and the streetlights light up the middle. it felt kinda like a movie. i cant wait til summer when its warm through the night.
