maureen's birthday dinner last night
we went to the cheesecake factory, i nice two hour wait. that previous afternoon basically sucked, so i wasn't expecting too much for the night. that day, i missed the bus to my house so i thought i had to walk alone in the rain and increasingly dark sky, until my mom made me wait 10 minutes standing in cardventure looking like an idiot.
but that night ended up being really fun. for one thing, MIA WAS LET OUT. that was like a party in and of itself. another thing was the lack of intelligent comments made throughout the night.
waitress:" how would you like your burger cooked?"
janet:" very mild"
::hysterical laughing::
me:"janet, mild?"
janet:" sorry, i was thinking wild"

(talking about my mom whose name is janis)
mcgraw:"ooo evelyn!"
me:" who is evelyn?"
mcgraw:" i don't know, i made it up."
and then at the end we told the waitors that is was maureen's birthday, so they came with a dessert thing for her with a candle in it and sang happy birthday. but we didn't actually buy a dessert, thinking they'd give her one for free.
maureen:"hey, is this just a pile of whipped cream?"
yes.
