So I go outside briefly to check snail mail (waiting on a new liscence because my current ID expired) And what do I see?
MEGA FIRE. I'm talking something Satan would be jealous of. About three blocks down, about four houses are wreathed in flames extending some 20-30 feet high. I counted about 9 fire engines.
Right then, the power went out (no surprise). So posting from a library computer saying I'm here but I'm going to freeze. No power means no heat. Lovely. I hope my ancient modem/router (10+ years) doesn't freeze in the big chill we're going to be getting the next couple days. They're saying the power will be back... wednesday. The power company and the story the police are feeding the throng of onlookers is that some shitfuck tried arson / insurance fraud and REALLY did a number on the area in preparation (in other words, they're saying whomever did this had help, and lots of it).
Now excuse me while I have no power, internet, or anything else until about wednesday. Library closes in ten minutes. >_>
