Wow. What a great weekend.

Spur of the moment, my parents were up north and found two properties on the lake that they liked. One was in Kewadin, and the other in Traverse City. Long story short, they fell in love with the Traverse City house, and two days after they first saw it, we had bought it. Which is CRAZY if you know my parents. It took my mom 4-5 years just to pick out a couch.

So this past weekend I took a day off of work and my dad and I drove his boat up to the house. It was so much cooler than I expected, my parents aren't exactly known for their good tastes. But this house is big, its about 2,000 square feet, and its on one of the only private roads in Traverse City on East Bay. The guy who owned it, Marty, bought the lot next door and built this bigger nicer house right next door. There are three bedrooms, which an option for a fourth (they turned one of the bedrooms into a massive walk in closet). But my favorite part by FAR is the master bathroom. O-M-G. Its so gorgeous...they had started to renovate the house, starting with the bathroom, but then the opportunity came to get the lot next door, so they stopped. But this bathroom is worth it...its all limestone and black granite and brushed steele/chrome. The shower has two heads and is all glass. SO NICE. I took as many showers as possible in there. As I told my dad, its a great sex shower...haha.

My dad took me out for my first sailing lesson, and after doing well for quite some time, I managed to flip the boat over on its side. We righted it in a matter of 30 seconds or so, but my dad couldn't stop laughing for a good 10 minutes. He was actually happy that I did it, just so he could get the experience of doing it and so that he knew what to do.

Work is going well...its pretty boring, but its going well, and its a paycheck.

I love living on my own here in Dover Hills...its WAY better than being at home.

I get to go up to Traverse again this weekend to go sailing with Zoe and be there for when they deliver the new furniture. Anyone wanna go to keep me company? Let me know :)
