My name is Aiyren.
If you live in Aitéira, Sonderra or Ninai, you might know this name.
How? Well.. I’m the crown princess of Aitéira. And now I’m going to tell you my story.
At first, the Castle where I lived burned down. That was the work of my dad’s sister, Canne. So when I was six years old, we went to live with the mother of my mother, Grandmother Charlotte, and lived in the Aelven Forest for 2 years.
************
I liked it to live with Charlotte. She always told me stories about the old days, and several Aitéirian fairytales. She also told me the stories of the Brothers Grimm, Dickens, and other famous writers from the world where she, and the mother of Charlotte, Novelle, came from.
Those were the things I was the most curious about.
I wanted to know, how people could live without the freedoms of Magic, how they could stay warm in the middle of the winter when it’s freezing cold.
I thought it was strange when grandmother told me about the things called TV’s, those weird screens that showed moving pictures, and gave sound.
I thought it would be great.
~
It was about two years later when the rebuilding of the Castle was ready.
Hundreds of people worked on it, and it was much better than before. Charlotte and my parents personally took care of the things that should be IN the building, so since then we had hot water running through every single room.
~
Aiyren sat on a field, playing with her doll ElSwan. She was now about eight years old (almost nine), but still wouldn’t give up her doll. Her father walked up to her, and sat down on the grass.
“Aiyren?” she looked up.
“Father!” she said happy, with a smile on her face.
“Aiyren I have good news.” He said calm. “We can go back to the Castle again, it’s finished”
Aiyren looked at like she didn’t understand him.
“What do you mean, father?” she asked, and tilted her head a bit.
“You knew that it was being rebuilt right?” he asked, and she nodded.
“Well, we’re going back tonight. You can sleep in your own room tonight.” Her father lifted her up, and put her on his shoulders. Aiyren holded her doll very tight, as her father walked to the town again.
“Will I see Bachah then again?” Aiyren’s eyes brightend up when she asked this.
“Yes” her father said. “She will be there.”
When they arrived at the town, Aiyren got down again on her own feet, and ran to her mother.
“Mother! We’re going back!” Aiyren clinged herself on her mothers dress.
“Yes...” her mother said, but nothing more. Like she wasn’t really happy with it. But she smiled to Aiyren’s father anyway.
That night they left. It was early in the evening, and it already began to shimmer.
Aiyren enjoyed herself with watching out of the window.
“Mother, can I go and pluck an IJsChrystell for Bachah tomorrow?” Aiyren asked full of expectation. Her mother looked at Aiyren’s father.
“Why not?” he answered, and smiled. Her mother smiled back.
“But only when you’re very careful, and be home before nightfall, okay?” she warned her daughter.
~
The next day Aiyren went out to find herself a IJsChrystell for Bachah.
She had to look everywhere, but couldn’t find a single one of them.
But, after half a day searching, she walked in a lonely meadow, where rocks surrounded the area where she was walking; she finally found what she was looking for.
The beautiful flower was exactly on the edge of a large rock, so Aiyren had to go on her knees to grab it.
Very carefully, inch by inch, she moved forward. Just to keep the rock steady.
It was a long way to get to the flower she wanted, and just as she was about to grab the flower, she heard a loud crack.
Quickly she grabbed the flower, and hold it very tight in her little fists.
About a moment, she thought she was saved, and started to move backwards again.
But it already was too late..
The rock fell down with her on it, and Aiyren screamed loud..
