1991-born Lu Hong takes on the lead role of the genius in idol drama Muggle vs Genius
First batch of new drama Muggle vs Genius 天才碰麻瓜 has been out. With sets and costumes that matches the equally refreshing cast of nearly all new leads, the drama is definitely on its way to be the best-looking modern drama of 2012.
The Hunan TV drama stars current drama academy students for five of the six leads, including one in Central Drama and four in Shanghai Drama, and all five were born after 1990. “Love of the Hawthorn Tree”s second female lead Jiang Ruijia, plays the “muggle,” while New My Fair Princess’s nth male lead Lu Hong plays the “genius.” The three other actors, all making their TV debut, are from the classes of 2012, 2013 and 2015 at Shanghai Drama.
