Yi Zhi Mei (Iljaemei), Zhuge Liang to be filmed by Shanghai Tangren

Known for its gorgeous casts and youthful plots in historical dramas like Chinese Paladin, Fairy in Wonderland and the Young Warriors of the Yang Clan, Shanghai Tangren Company recently announced its three new series in production this year in an interview with CEO Karen Tsoi.
They include in pre-production stage series about genius strategist Zhuge Liang starring Hu Ge, currently filming series about “Asian Robin Hood” Yi Zhi Mei starring Wallace Huo, Liu Shishi and Ma Tianyu, and post-production series about textile master Huang Dao Po starring Zhang Junning (the actress, not the HSM actor), Liu Shishi and Yuan Hong.

Wallace Huo as the hero and leader of Yi Zhi Mei
Stange Hero Yi Zhi Mei (怪侠一枝梅), whose previous adaptations include a 1994 HK film, a 2005 TVB series and a 2008 SBC Korean series, is based on folktales of a Robin-like hero in the Ming dynasty. See more pictures here.
Wallace Huo plays Li Ge Xiao (离歌笑), the leader of the group. Once a brilliant high official, he fell into confusion after his beloved wife was killed by trickery.
Ma Tianyu as He Xiaomei.
Pretty boy Ma Tianyu plays He Xiaomei (贺小梅), a seemingly innocent scholar who excels in hidden weapons, the art of disguise, and medicine. Shi Xingyu plays Chai Hu (柴胡), a fighter.
Liu Shishi plays Yan Sanniang (燕三娘), a master at lightness, lock picking and mastering maps. Handsome and cold, Yan Sanniang is different from the sweet girls Liu Shishi is used to playing. She is also the love interest of Li Gexiao.
