Evan Yo Loves Taking off Clothes

Taiwanese idol Evan Yo admitted that he loves taking off clothes.

"Clothing is restraining to me. When I take off my clothes, it's a liberating feeling," said the 23-year-old said on Thursday.

The chirpy lad then went on to talk about his fascination with swimming pool.

"Whenever I see a swimming pool, I get excited and have the urge to take off my clothes and dive into the pool!"

The I Can star even made a promise that he would wear only his swim briefs in the cold weather of 10°C, if his album sold more than 50,000 copies. Fans might not have to wait that long. Yo will be performing alongside Taiwanese rock duo Y2J at DiGi Music LIVE showcase at Sungei Wang rooftop on Saturday.

"I might take off my clothes if I get too high during the performance. My label might care about the image of idols, but personally, I don't really carry any baggage," he explained.

Meanwhile, Y2J's new album is set to be released early next year.

"We will sing our new single Guardian (Shou Hu) at the DiGi Music LIVE showcase this Saturday," revealed one half of the band, Yuming.

While their previous album Live For You is heavy rock, their upcoming sophomore album will be more cheerful and sound closer to their age.

"Basically it's still rock, but the style and the message of our music this time will be different. Back then we were singing about serious themes."

"This one will be lighter in nature. We hope that through our music, we can be the spokespersons of the young generation," said band member Jane.

One thing that might remain the same will be their rock star image.

"My long hair is my trademark. I've tried tucking my hair under a hat before and I went to McDonalds. Nobody recognised me," said Yuming laughingly.

Similarly, Jane said she was almost anonymous when she is not wearing her eye make-up."

"But my die-hard fans can tell it's me, even when I am without make-up and wearing a helmet," she said with a laugh.
