Wang Leehom And Justin Timberlake To Perform Together In Beijing's Iconic Bird's Nest Stadium June 14, 2014.
Chinese megastar Wang Leehom's MUSIC-MAN II "Fired Up" World Tour will have his final show on June 14, 2014. "Fired Up" has hit 55 cities and entertained over 2 million fans live, breaking numerous records for China. The tour included the first ever solo pop concert in Beijing's Bird's Nest Stadium, in 2012, as well as the first large-scale stadium concerts in several quickly growing cities such as Liupanshui and Ürümqi.
Due to overwhelming demand the final show of the tour will be a return to the historic Bird's Nest National Stadium - China's largest venue, with a capacity of 91,000 seats - and Wang is pulling out all the stops. He's amped up the rundown, adding new songs, new costumes and a new lighting design and sound system, making the tour's finale a multi-million dollar production.
The Grammy and Emmy Award winning Justin Timberlake will make his first ever appearance in China joining Wang Leehom as a special guest. It's going to be an amazing night for fans of both Eastern and Western pop culture when Wang and JT hit the stage for a once in lifetime performance. Timberlake and Wang share many similarities in their respective markets. Both are actors, songwriters and musicians who dominate pop charts and social media.
Wang is excited to bring Chinese pop music to wider audiences, and his albums and career choices have reflected that desire. In his compositions, he often uses traditional Chinese elements mixed with danceable beats. A line of traditional opera juxtaposed with a verse of rap, or an erhu solo instead of guitar, are common traits in his music.
