Jerry Yan dating a Japanese-Swiss model
Rumour has it that Taiwanese singer-actor Jerry Yan, who had been in an on-and-off relationship with actress Lin Chi-ling for the past few years, may have already moved on with his life with a new girlfriend.
According to China News website, Taiwanese tabloid recently reported that the 36-year-old artiste is currently dating a Japanese model of Swiss descent that is nine years younger than him, known as Shoko.
A source claimed that Jerry met the 27-year-old Shoko at a friend's gathering late last year and was charmed by her beauty.
"Jerry got Shoko's number from his friend and began sending her messages. He even learned the Japanese language so that they could communicate easily," the source added.
It was also revealed that the couple has been seeing each other for six months and that Jerry even bought Shoko a NTD 30,000 (app. USD 1,003) watch as a token of love when she agreed to officially become his girlfriend.
The source continued, "To make sure that nobody knows about their relationship, Shoko often met Jerry at his place or they would meet up overseas."
When asked to address the rumour, Shoko's manager stated, "We are not able to contact her as she is in Japan at the moment. On our part, we will not interfere in our artiste's personal lives."
Meanwhile, Jerry's camp has yet to respond on the matter.
