I want to know why Nintendo refuses to keep up with the region free concept on its consoles. The DS and DS Lite are region free... Why couldn't they do that with the Wii, too? America can't seem to import the Naruto Clash of Ninja series without messing something up (aka taking out characters the original Japanese had left in). You assume American audiences don't want to still play with Haku, Zabuza, and Iruka? Well YOU'RE ENTIRELY WRONG.
Sadly, my Gamecube died over a year ago, and you can't get a Freeloader disc (the disc that opens a console up to Japanese makes) for the Wii. The Wii's next update always renders them obsolete. I am torn if I'm really going to purchase the newly-released 4th Clash, because even though they add new characters, they tend to take characters away. Then the new Bleach fighter for the DS came out, which should have been the one I waited for, considering I played Freen's imported Japanese version first and then when I got the previous installment for America, it was lacking what the second had.
Not to mention I went into Vintage Stock for the first time and SKGHJSLGJLGOMGGGGGGGGG. Are you people aware it is like half movies/videogames, half geek vintage stuff, and HALF ANIME MERCHANDISE?! And THEY HAVE POCKY THERE. And not just the plain chocolate like World Market has... STRAWBERRY POCKY. *I am totally aware I have three halfs above. It's just that cool.
I am in freaking love with that store. They had Death Note plushies (sadly, I did not see a Light plushie. I might have had to buy that one), wallscrolls, all kinds of geeky accessories.
Speaking of amazing things, look at the conversation Nissan and I had last night. Somehow we started out at lactose intolerance and got here.
*Talking about evolution in contrast to medical and scientific discovery and how it causes unforeseen and sometimes devastating problems, but may also hinder problems to come. Hindsight is 20/20, and all the different paths an action could take can cause dramatic consequences. My argument is that any medical advancements humans take could ultimately lead to a worse downfall than if we had let nature take it's course. Granted, more would suffer presently, but fewer would be affected later. Nissan's argument is that you keep trying because you really can't know the consequences.*
*Nissan decides to sum up the concept*
lolmerf (11:04:45 PM): Who the hell thought that taking a whole bunch of leaves could create an umbrella?
lolmerf (11:04:53 PM): OMG What if we take the leaf and the tree falls on us?!
lolmerf (11:04:57 PM): ..I think that was a gamble
lolmerf (11:05:20 PM): But at the expense of balding the tree and killing it off
lolmerf (11:05:31 PM): ...But now we know better, so we only take a couple of leaves from a couple of trees once in a while
LaceyCloudz (11:05:39 PM): I like your story XD
lolmerf (11:05:48 PM): I bet you it happened EXACTLY like that.
lolmerf (11:05:51 PM): Man that's going to be my senior thesis.
LaceyCloudz (11:05:52 PM): XD
LaceyCloudz (11:05:52 PM): I'm sure.
LaceyCloudz (11:05:59 PM): Man that's a Biblical way of telling it too.
LaceyCloudz (11:06:10 PM): "LET'S TAKE A REALLY COMPLICATED AND LOFTY CONCEPT AND APPLY IT TO NATURE IN TERMS PEOPLE CAN UNDERSTANNDDD"
LaceyCloudz (11:06:26 PM): And then down the road they'll think it's literal and make war about it.
lolmerf (11:07:04 PM): See, crazy bible people will tell you "OMFG THE TREE DIED AND IT WAS YOUR FAULT"
lolmerf (11:07:10 PM): Forget about the umbrella and discovery
lolmerf (11:07:15 PM): It's all about the fucking tree
