So I got this email on my Yahoo account today (the account I rarely use but have in my CS board profile just in case) that kind of took me aback. Some random person (whose actual name was on his email from line but who didn't mention anywhere what his name is on the boards) emailed me to rant about a comment I made in a Contro thread months ago. The guy is obviously a very conservative Christian and quite homo-phobic, since the stuff he had issue with was my views on homosexuality and the Bible. I only sort of remembered what all I had said, so I just wrote an email back saying that I was sorry he was so upset but I wasn't changing my mind and I wasn't expecting to change his. Also had to give the guy a lesson on the difference between theology and Comparative Religion since he accused me of running around with a theology degree and bashing Christianity. I also told him that I looked forward to his response but that in that response he had better tell me who he is. I don't like getting bashed for my views by people I don't know. I mean, I don't KNOW the people on the boards (well, not many) but at least I know that if a fellow Slyth says something against a view I hold, it's a whole different thing than if a Teashopper does. Same thing with an oldbie I've known since I came on the boards versus some newbie I've never seen before. I like to know who I'm dealing with. I'm very curious to see what this guy comes back with, and more interested to know who this guy is.

Still sick today. Blech. Don't worry, I'm staying in bed and taking care of myself. Blech.
