That's an interesting concept -- a second chance, but not a fresh start. I like that. Nice scene, all told. I can sympathize with Shanti. Islay doesn't know how to approach Derek either. Or Aivey.

Shanti knows how to deal with Derek: Stay far far away. Hedge as she might with someone asking her about it who's loyalties she is uncertain of, Shanti is pretty firm on that belief. :)

But she genuinely likes Aivey, and will probably keep seeking her out and pushing friendship on her. :) Toth, too. ;)
