POSSIBILITY OF A NURSE JOB!!!
Today was a great day! I got a call back from the Director of Nursing at Meadow Wood Behavioral Hospital! Yes, psych. But she said she loves new graduates and that I should call her as soon as I pass my boards in June. They're opening a new 20-bed wing for adolescents, which means a lot of spots will open up. Even if she doesn't have anything full time or part time, she said, she'll hire me for PRN! (That's what I do now where I pick up open shifts.)
So you are officially talking to someone who will be working as a registered nurse starting in June/July. OMG. OMFG. OMFGOMFOMGOMFGOMFG. I just can't believe it. It'll be the end goal of what has felt like a very very long road at times.
I had a good work shift last night from 3p to 11p on monitors. Tomorrow I work 3 to 11p on the floor. It's a Friday night. We'll see how that goes. I just hope that the census drops a little bit from what it was because it was like 35 yesterday. By the time we left, census was around 26. I hope it stayed there. Otherwise I don't think a lot of quality staffing will be happening. Today was a relaxing day where I got some errands done and went grocery shopping, studied a very little bit. I need to do more studying tomorrow and this weekend. It's just soooo hard. I have senioritis bad. I am just contenting myself by thinking of all the drinking I'll be doing come Monday. I'm taking the train back from Philadelphia to Newark so I can do alllll the rum and cokes I please. Hurray!
