Laptops and auditions and exams, oh my!
My last exam was supposed to be today but because I can't seem NOT to stress I've gone and gotten myself sick again. Because of me being sick again, I need to make up three exams in June ... bah! But then again, I could have gone and taken them, failed miserably which would mean I needed to retake them in September. So life is still good.
My high school called to ask if I had decided to help them out with Les Mis and I agreed. I don't know what I'm getting myself into but I know it won't be pretty. Think 14, 15 and 16 year olds trying to understand Schönberg and you'll see why I'm so reluctant. Do they really expect those children to understand what it's all about? Please. At that age they only care for themselves. I hope they prove me wrong ... I doubt they will.
But I said yes because I really do need the money. I just ordered a new laptop and I'm going to drive to Germany to get it tomorrow. The only reason I got it in another country is because it was €500! cheaper. So I'll gladly drive an hour to Germany if it means I can save that much money.
Anyway, I said yes because, even if it is a lot of work, I get set hours and they are seriously overpaying me.
