Cake-gasm.
*swoons* Good GOD. If the finished cakes taste anywhere NEAR as good as the batter does, this is going to be my go-to chocolate cake recipe for life. I just. I mean. *flails* We'll see. My oven is wonky, so the baking might not turn out well. (If not, I have probably two more batches worth of batter to get it right, tonight!) And I have to make the frosting yet, although I probably won't do that until they're all good and cooled, which won't be til nine-ish. But dang. I could make myself sick off of eating that batter, if I wasn't twenty-six and far too mature to do so. Cupcakeblog.com wins again!
ETA: OK, the cake is awesome. Just awesome. It's chocolate-y, but not sharply chocolate-y like so many things are these days. It's pleasantly chocolate-y. Milky. Or something. This is definitely not something I can make very often, seeing as it involves a TON of butter and sugar and whatnot, but I'll totally make it for other people. Now, I ran out of vanilla, so I have to run up to the store to get more for the frosting. SIGH. :)
