This picture taken along Petone beach. It was a surprisingly still day yesterday. Paid back in full overnight when the southerly came whipping up from the south pole. Wind, rain and hail woke me up a couple of times overnight.
I went to see some football today. Not rugby as you might expect in NZ but proper soccer. Des and I joined some friends to watch the Wellington Phoenix play a pre-season game against Sydney FC. To be honest I wasn't expecting a great show but they did heaps better than I thought. They actually kicked some ass and won 3-0! Definitely felt like a proper football game as we were sitting near the Yellow Fever supporters area, and they had all the traditional chants going. Awesome!
