※These two lines mention "a pain that is not conveyed" and it's equating it to a papercut. Although the cut is small and may not hurt much, it still hurts and we shouldn't forget about it. If you did maybe you'd go and give other people papercuts and not know you're causing them pain. In the bigger picture it's comparing it to life experiences. By remembering things that hurt you, you in turn know to not do that to others.
※※The blue, indigo, purple - by drawing a "borderline" between these colors you're seperating them saying one is different from the other. The writer of the link gave an example about a mother who is "blue" and daughter who is "purple."
