Riku Fanfic?

Should I write a Riku centered fanfic?

Riku walked the barren woods alone tonight. He had frequented this place many times before with his friends, but tonight he had left them back home. The memories were comforting however; Sora with his goofy grin playing tricks instead of treating, Kairi chasing after Sora with a friendly smile on her face and a kind reprimand on her tongue. Riku was always in the back watching, although Sora sometimes managed to drag him into certain "projects," managing to get them both into trouble instead of one. Riku laughed and joked around with Sora freely during these times, too sweet and few and far between.

Riku passed the holiday trees with only a cursory glance, a thin smile passing his lips as his eyes flitted over the Christmas Town passageway, before settling back down to the non-existent path in front of him. Riku liked Halloween Town the most out of all the worlds Sora, Kairi, and him had traveled to after their initial ordeal that brought them into the other worlds around them. Maybe it was the dark nature in the world, tricks and scares predominating the place even though it was still good for all intents and purposes. It fit Riku just right.

In the past two years Riku's hair had only gotten longer, the silver haired boy never cutting it unless Kairi insisted he get it trimmed. It now reached far down his back, the spiky mess falling to his lower back almost to his buttocks. His clothes had changed a bit too, deciding yellow was a bit bright for his personality. It was still his favorite color, but he relied on blacks more now than the bright color. As such, Riku's current outfit was all black with only a few yellow trims running around; an open trench coat with no shirt underneath, ever-so-slightly baggy pants, and well-worn hiking boots. And thanks to the effects of being in Halloween Town, Riku also currently sported a demon costume that he found particularly amusing and befitting. The costume basically gave him fangs, changed his green eyes into snake-slitted irises, and added two small black wings, one angelic with soft feathers, the other a leathery demon bat-like one.

Riku walked far past the various holiday passageways into never traversed areas of the dead woods. It was quiet and lonely here, perfect for his current endeavors. Riku knew Sora and Kairi would never approve of his current obsession: to reinvoke the darkness powers he once possessed. He was getting closer to his goal every night, practicing in secret to control the darkness within his heart without letting it consume him and turn him into something else... be it Heartless, Nobody, or both. With a single thought, Riku summoned his keyblade, Way to the Dawn, out of thin air and into his hand. Slowly, and with exact precision, Riku went through a set of motions similar to a martial art's form, one of his own keyblade style.

It was first a way to keep in shape, second a way to continue practice using the keyblade just in case it was needed, and third a perfect warm-up for his true endeavor. Finishing the first set, Riku went straight into the second without a break. He went through three move sets after that before stopping his seamless movements, although sometimes fast and other times slow. Pausing to catch his breath for a moment, Riku stared out at nothing as he cleared his mind and began focusing on the darkness within.

Concentrating hard now, Riku's green eyes closed as he imagined the darkness and the powers that came with it. Breathing deep and even, he opened his eyes suddenly and stared harshly at a tree in front of him. Within the next second the tree went up in blue-black flames as Riku waved a hand towards it and focused his dark magic on the Dark Aura spell. The deed over with, Riku came back to himself and stared awed at the tree.

He had done it. He had regained the power to control the darkness. Despite the fact that he was now very tired, Riku was pleased with his success. With a little more practice, Riku would be back up to par again and be able to easily cast the darkness spells once again. Now that he had mastered the darkness again, everything else was cake from here on out.

Deeply satisfied, Riku headed back towards town. He had finally accomplished his goal. He had regained the ability to use the darkness within himself to his own advantage without consequences, other than using his own magical power and wearing himself out of course. With a faint smile curling his lips, Riku slumped his way back to Halloween Town to rest and recuperate.
