There really aren't words required. The new Star Trek movie is great. And, damnit, if I didn't love every single one of the 'repeated' quotes from the original series. >XD I never even watched any of those! And of course Scotty was my favorite. Hell, that's why I wanted to see the movie in the first place. Simon Pegg ftw! o ( Read more... )

I enjoyed everyone in it except for Kirk. He was too generic action hero-y for my tastes. But Scotty and McCoy were my favourites

hahahaha That and I'm a big fan of The Shat, so... :P

And why would you think that the sarcastic, functional alcoholic and brilliant yet ignored Scotsman were my favourites? ;)

But he's so awesome! And we've had this argument before, so I'll leave it there.

Yes, I realize this. But I still disagree. He's just so... stupid. I'll admit, nowadays he just plays it up for the comedy. But back then? Omg, stupid. And so NOT macho/sexy/appealing.

Never!

Heheh. Uh-huh. Me either.

He's a classical American Heroic archetype! He's what your country based it's image around for over a hundred years! Damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead! He's Washington mixed mixed with Jackson mixed with Grant mixed with Sherman when they were all in the army! And some Decatur thrown in for Naval measure! And he's totally dreamy! (Not as dreamy as James Doohan was in the '60s, though. You know he was in the Royal Canadian Artillery and lost a finger at Juno Beach? For real, check it out!)

Totally!

hahaha It's a mystery of the Universe.

No way! Not ever!

Yeah... damn mysteries of universes.... and all that jazz. XD

Oh. I don't know any of the actors names. Er, except like, that one. That you're talking about. And, um, the REALLY obvious one. That's in Futurama, lol. I can't spell it so... Spock. lol.
