Faeriecon was once again amazing. I am now completely and utterly broke, but I sort of think it was worth it.
Faun was abso-freaking-lutely amazing, and also very nice.
A hotel glass full of whiskey is, it turns out, too much. I might have had more than one. I may or may not have gotten lost in the hotel in the wee small hours as a consequence, slept very little, and had a hangover from hell. Despite that, thank goodness for friends with bottles of whiskey who pour you drinks and take you to afterparties with beautiful German bands and all sorts of fun and interesting people.
Loved loved LOVED the panels this year; I went to all of the author panels and laughed and was inspired then laughed some more. Still giggling over the topics of bathtub snorkling and bear poo.
I now own three lovely hand-dyed, nuno-felted silk faerie tops. I am apparently incapable of moderation.
I ran into friends from completely different worlds there. Neat.
Why did I not bring my Brian Froud books to get signed? Duh. Jane Yolen autographed my copy of Take Joy and was delightful and funny.
Now it is back to the real world, and impending surgery, and catching up on my word count for my novel, and being terrified about impending surgery, and being sad about missing thanksgiving due to said surgery.
Kitties are, *touch wood*, hopefully better after 2 rounds of Mysterious Illnesses and many vet visits. Little Guy is finally resigned to his sub-q fluid treatments, and is doing as well as a cat with kidney failure can do.
