more tests
The colposcopy found "high grade changes" so I must go in for either a LEEP procedure (done in office) or cone biopsy (done as outpatient surgery.) I still need to have the endometrial biopsy that they were unable to get on my last visit.
Not sure which procedure I will chose. The LEEP is faster and easier, but I still need a separate visit for the other biopsy. The cone biopsy will allow for the endometrial biopsy to be done at the same time, but it involves anesthesia. I am liking the whole idea of being unconscious for everything, but I hate general anesthesia. The internets seem to suggest that twilight sleep is generally used, and that I think I could handle.
Also, I totally take issue with the notion that one will be "perfectly fine" after a colposcopy. I was pretty fuckin' far from fine.
