Check Head

Nov 18, 2008 20:58

So, apparently I've reached the age when I can't stay up late and get up early. Three weeks ago I was sick for two weeks, then I got better thanks to a Z-pack. And for the past two weeks I've been getting day-long headaches. About three days out of five I get a headache that leaves me looking like a perpetual grimace at work and walking to class. But these headaches are weird because no IBP or Tylenol will help make them go away. They feel like what my head does when I'm sick with a fever and stand up to fast: the brain rattling cerebral pain. My thought? This is my body telling me I can't run on five hours of sleep and no food in the house. Nothing compounds my headaches worse than nothing to make in the fridge.

Part of the culprit is my class schedule this year. I have at least three classes where I have to go for participation reasons, but have to teach myself from the book. Blasted teachers. So, when factoring in that "school" expects me to spend 1.5-2 hours of homework for every class hour, find time to eat, work, and sleep- I'm looking at a day that is more than 24 hours long. Ahem. I really have to start cutting corners for classes so I can get sleep. It really hampers me when I can't think because my head is pounding, besides it disturbes me that they last all day. On the good side Dr. Maccarone is helping me research Business Ethics MBAs and will write me a charming letter of recommendation. And I'm starting to be able to control the blush I get every time I talk to Dr. Steverson- seriously, why does the man make me blush all the time? It's awkward.
