Fight for that Magna Cum, fight for it! They're not easy to get a Milligan, and since you're a sciencee major, so I think that is probably more impressive than certain other majors.
What like history and English? *winks* JK. Yes, I'll fight hard for it, but it might not happen. A-'s will lose it for me. I'm that freaking close. And after the test I had today...*sighs* That thing was a BEAST. I studied for WEEKS, and I still got a 67, which is a C and pulled my grade down by 8%. Oh well. The prof said that after that test everything was easy sailing.
Well at least to me History and English are easier, but I take solace in the fact that it is not so for everyone. Ugh, tell me about the A-'s they did me in as well, coupled with the fact that my 4.0 didn't transfer in. We will not speak of how a certain professor mangled my grade. *still not bitter* But! annyho, maybe if you're hanging on by the skin of your teeth there is a little something extra you can do to bump it up.
Hang in there and go be Brilliant! gah, everyone graduating, *sniff* it makes me so proud.
English and History are easier for me, too, but apparently I have a slightly masochistic bent when it comes to my education. :) On the bright side, Stephen, brilliant and talented Stephen who is currently breezing through a DO/PhD dual program, barely scratched by in Humanities and writing... That makes me feel a little bit better. :)
Well, I'm going to be in MSA next year, so we'll still have a foot in the door. :)
oye. So if you're on campus, who will you be rooming with? And yes, the icon is us. Except my facs are better lol. Side note, my grandma up and gave me money, so I'm going to us it to renew my LJ account...YAY ICONS!!!!!
I'll be living with a girl named J.D. Masse. She's a "non-traditional" student, meaning she's 26 and getting her second degree. My half of the bills, not counting groceries but including utilities, cable, rent, and internet, will be *drum roll* only $225 a month. She said that she and her current roommate eat healthy and share the grocery bill, which is about $125 each. As we both know, I'm very fond of farmers markets(which are cheap), beans and rice (which are very cheap), soups (which are simple and cheap), and potatoes (which are uber cheap). I'll also be working about 20 hours a week in the cafeteria and the grill. I can make that into at least 5 meals a week. So, I can probably keep my monthly budget to about $450 a month with everything, leaving about $50 a month for fun and essentials. :)
