I am totally buggered. Stayed up too late two nights ago and ended up sleeping all day til 430 yesterday. Six in the morning is a hell of a time to decide that that's enought Buffy for me. So I slept all thorugh the day and dreamed of a dragon. Woke up late in the afternoon and decided that if I am ever going to get my body clock back into alignmentI would need to stay awake until at least 430pm today. So here I am, feeling rather like a zombie, waiting for late afternoon to come around.
This is what holidays do to me. On the plus side, I spent the entire night cleaning my apartment, and now it looks awesome. I even took photos, which I will post as soon as I remember how. After cleaning I decided to take an early morning walk, which I would have felt significantly cooler about if I had actually gotten up for it rather than just not sleeping. Walked over a very short mountain, and have come back with two words solidly imprinted on my lips. Insect. Repellent. OMFG if you think Australia is bad for mosquitoes, try going anywhere off the beaten track in Japan. One second you're in total concrete world, the next you're in the wilderness, and suddenly it's mosquito territory. I had at least ten hovering aorund me at any one time, and they just dont go away. I really need to do some research on Japanese insect life actually. Everything that flies past me freaks me out because I have no idea what it is and if it's dangerous or not. Anyway, I wont be going bushwalking again until i find some repellent.
I also managed a trip down to the local warehouse and singlehandedly organised to have a table and two chairs dropped off at my apartment tomorrow. Am incredibly proud of myself for working that one out without even consulting a dictionary. So this is officially the best my apartment has looked since I moved in.
I also wanted to post and say Happy Birthday to Chibibchan! Our little chibi is the same age as the rest of us again....til november at least. There is stuff on its way to you! Hope you have an awesome birthday.
