(no subject)
For JJ's birthday I found the Leap Frog Crammer at a nice price (Big Lots, need I say more?) I wouldn't have purchased this item at the full price, I think they were wanting $50 - $60 for it. Okay. I get that it is an MP3 player and a study tool (built in flash cards, games for learning, and you can make your own flashcards) in one. That is awesome. But. I am glad I got it at close out price.
BUT it is GREAT. Seriously. I wasn't sure how it would go over, but J is definitely a Technology kid - he always has been, he was using a mouse & playing on the computer before he was two years old. He loves it, we put on some MP3s of audio stories from Librivox and we need to put some more music on there for him. He has made his own flashcards for the things he is studying for school. He can study & listen to music at the same time.

I'm waiting for the boys to finish their "just three songs" rock band break and come downstairs for lunch & finishing school :)
Yeah this homeschool stuff is hard, but it is oh so worth it when I think about all the sitting, waiting, lining up, being quiet, raising hands, waiting turns, being held back in their abilities or pushed forward too fast so the whole class can be at the same place at the same time - all those things that school would hold for them.
