Chinen Yuri is a teen super star, and is also a member of the known Johnny’s Entertainment group, HeY!SaY!JUMP, and its subgroup, HeY!SaY!7. He has a pretty hectic schedule, with a lot of things to do and more. He is always seen with HeY!SaY!BEST members, treating them as his own older brothers. He is very serious about work, both in the show business and at school. He never neglects his studies - he prioritizes it and he sees to it that he is able to do his home works, projects and the like. He also sees to it that his work never affects his studies. It would be a big no-no in his book. And in connection with that, he also sees to it that he fulfills every requirement the teacher gives him, and without such delays.
Chiyaku Hana is a simple junior high school girl, studying at the same school as Chinen Yuri is. She loves music and dancing, though she never shows it. She is a smart girl; she is always the one in mind whenever you say the word “Math Partner.” She loves to study, and she sees to it that she NEVER misses school days-she has a sparking clean record (no violations, tardiness, absences and major or minor cases) and she is always a model student and a teacher’s favorite. She has many friends (and “friends”) and she is quite very popular whenever it comes to Mathematics and Science. She never fails to get the top ranks. Sometimes, she would want to show everyone her hobby of dancing…but she never got the chance because she is a shy girl.
One day, their Physical Educations teacher gave the class a project: any dance that applies teamwork. Each team would only and ONLY consist of two students, and each member would be selected by the teacher…through name drawing. Everyone prayed they would go and have Chinen, the best dancer in the block. The teacher slowly drew two small sheets of paper, giving an aura of suspense. He shouted the first pair. Chinen’s name wasn’t on any of the paper. The teacher continued to draw names, and still, Chinen’s name wasn’t on the paper. Finally, four small sheets of paper were left, and Chinen’s name could be one of the next pair to be called. But it wasn’t. It only means one thing: Chinen Yuri is paired with the other person whose name isn’t called out yet: Chiyaku Hana.
The teacher decided the day of the presentation (“Judgment Day” or “Armageddon” the students call it) would be two weeks from that day. They had enough time to think of what music, steps and choreography they would have, and also, to provide their own costumes. Many chose hip-hop because...well…it was the “in” thing right now. Only counted pairs thought of other dances-and one of those pairs was the Chinen-Chiyaku pair. The teacher gave them the remaining time of the period (which was thirty [30] minutes) to talk about their dance presentation.
“So…” Chinen sighed. “Hi. I’m Chinen. Chii for short…” he said, introducing himself.
“Uh…hi…” Hana shyly said. “I…uh, I…”
“Don’t be scared…I won’t eat you alive…” Chinen laughed.
“I’m sorry…” Hana shyly answered. “I’m Chiyaku Hana…nice to meet you…”
“So…can I call you Hana-chan?” Chinen asked? Hana fidgeted. “Can I? You know…for short…”
“O…okay…” Hana replied. “Okay, Chinen-san-“
“I told you call me Chii. No need for being formal!!” Chinen chuckled.
“I’m sorry…” Hana apologized, lowering his head.
“Tell me, Hana-chan,” Chinen said. Hana fidgeted once more. “…do you always wear your hair like that? It looks…messy…” he remarked.
“I was never good at fixing my hair…” Hana replied, playing with her hair strands. She was looking at the floor and the next thing she knew, Chinen was asking for a pony. Her eyes grew wide in shock. “H-huh?” she exclaimed as she felt Chinen tie her hair neatly.
“You should always tie your hair…women having messy hair won’t get married, you know…” Chinen joked, still tying her hair. “I’m gonna make it the pony tail, okay?” he asked, waiting for her permission.
“O…okay…” Hana nervously replied. ‘This is the first time I would be wearing my hair back at school…and it is being tied by the very popular Chinen Yuri?! I can’t handle the pressure…Oh, I’m so sure fan girls will confront me later on…!’ she worriedly thought.
“There~!” Chinen exclaimed, removing his hold of her hair. “Doesn’t it feel cooler? And look…you look pretty with that bangs of yours…and you look COOL with those glasses of yours…you should always tie your hair, Hana-chan,” he smiled. “Okay? If I see you without your hair back again, I’ll tie it in a crazy way!” he joked.
“O-okay…thanks…” Hana said with appreciation.
“So…what shall we dance…” Chinen said, thinking. “Hmm…”
“Do you not want hip-hop, like everyone else?” Hana asked.
“Nah…everyone chose it already…” Chinen reasoned, smirking.
“How about…tango? Or samba? Or even…waltz…” Hana suggested. Chinen’s face lit up. “Hmm….let’s choose anything from the ballroom-“
“Right! We’re gonna do waltz~♪” Chinen happily exclaimed with a tone.
“Waltz…?!” Hana exclaimed, surprised.
“Why? You’re the one who suggested it…” Chinen said, flashing his gentle smile that makes women weak at the bones.
“B-but…” Hana stammered, but then gave up. “Oh whatever…do I have to wear a waltz gown…?”
“Yeah, of course!” Chinen energetically exclaimed. Chiyaku sighed deeply, rolling her eyes. “A

At H!S!JUMP’s Music Station Appearance
“Let’s welcome HeY!SaY!JUMP…” Tamori said, welcoming HeY!SaY!JUMP, who was about to sing Dreams Come True in the show.
“Hello…hello…” HSJ greeted, bowing their heads in respect.
“So…how do you feel after learning that your song ‘Dreams Come True’ made it to the top rank again?” Dō Mariko asked.
“Ah…we feel so blessed…these people love us a lot!” Yuto exclaimed happily.
“Don’t worry…we love you guys too!” Yamada energetically said towards the camera.
“I heard that Chinen-kun’s having a project at school which involves…?” Tamori asked, pausing.
“Dancing…” Chinen replied.
“DANCING?!” Tamori exclaimed.
“It was a Physical Educations project. A pair has to present any dance they chose…there is no time limit…” Chinen explained.
“Ah….so what dance would you and your partner present?”
“Uhm…waltz…” Chinen nervously smiled.
“WALTZ?!” Tamori exclaimed. “Isn’t that a little bit overboard?”
“Don’t worry, Tamori-san,” Yabu suddenly exclaimed.
“Chinen-kun can handle any dance!!” Arioka smirked.
“Yeah! So…good luck to whoever is Chinen-kun’s partner!!” HSJ chorused, leaving Chinen laughing. “Good luck! Don’t step on Chii’s foot!”
“Okay….please standby…” Tamori suggested.
“Thank you…”

Chiyaku Residence
As the group started singing, Hana thought of steps to do in their dance. She found a suitable music: Parisian Waltz. She stood in front of her television as she plugged in her earphones (iPod) and started listening to the piece. She stepped on one place and on another. This continued until finally, she made up a whole waltz dance.
“Perfect…” she breathlessly smiled. “I can show it to Chii…”
------
The next day
“Chii~!!” Hana exclaimed. “Chinen-san!!”
“Huh? Is it the end of the world?!” Chinen exclaimed, startled.
“Chii-kun! I made steps for the waltz already!!” Hana excitedly exclaimed.
“Really?! Great! What’s the music?” Chinen happily interrogated.
“Parisian Waltz…”
“GREAT!”
“Shall we start practice tomorrow?”
“Yeah…sure! We can do it now, you know…” Chinen suddenly suggested.
“EEH!?!” Hana shrieked. “B-but….where are we going to do it?!” she asked.
“Uhm...” Chinen mumbled, thinking. “Let’s do it at the school’s garden!” he suggested.
“Uhm…” Hana muttered. ‘Hmm…come to think of it…there aren’t many students who visit that area…’ she thought.
“Well…?” Chinen asked again.
“Okay…alright, if that’s what you want…” Hana said, sighing.

School’s Garden
“Okay…here…I borrowed a CD Player…” Chinen said, placing the player down. “Can I have the CD? Or cassette tape? Or whatever you have there?”
“I have it here…” Hana said, giving Chinen the CD. “I have it on a CD…”
“Great…then…SHOW ME…” Chinen said, emphasizing the words “SHOW ME”.
When Chinen clicked the button “play,” he was surprised to see Hana dance around the garden area gracefully, without any mess at all. He watched her princess-like movements. Her moves were very refined, and she has remarkable flexibility and agility. She never forgot any step, and all of the steps she made were just right on the music’s tone. Whenever the music was fast, her body movements were also fast, though she never forgot refinement. Whenever it was slow, her body movements were also slow, as if she herself is the music. Chinen watched her in awe when…
Chinen started to fidget. He breathed deeply because he thought he needed some air. He felt uncomforted. As he watched Hana do her dance, he felt uneasy. He silently sat on the grass so he won’t disturb and startle her dance. He watched her and he felt more uneasy. He started to feel his heart palpitating. He shut his eyes tight and breathed slowly. He tried to relax. He combed his hair with his fingers (which made him look like…a total hottie…:D). Hana finally noticed and she stopped dancing.
“Huh? Why’d you stop dancing?” Chinen suddenly asked.
“It’s because you look troubled…don’t you like my dance…?” Hana worriedly asked. “I’m sorry if you didn’t like it…!” she apologized.
“No,” Chinen smiled. “It’s nothing…it isn’t your fault and this has nothing to do with your dance…it was marvelous. I had no problem with it…” he assured.
“Oh,” Hana sighed in relief. “Thank you…” she said when the bell rang.
“Ah…it’s time…” Chinen muttered. “Shall we go?” he asked.
“Yeah…let’s-” Hana said when she carried the CD player.
“Oh, give me that,” Chinen said, snatching the player from Hana.
“Yeah…let’s practice tomorrow, then…next time…let’s do it together…”

Days passed by and the day of the presentation came closer. Everyone became excited, more and more as the days pass. Then…presentation day arrived. Chinen and Hana were inseparable. The class’ performance would be presented in front of the WHOLE student body, and they have a special guest: HeY!SaY!JUMP. Their class’ morning subjects were removed for that specific day so they could prepare themselves and make them a little more confident so they could present in front of a BIG crowd. Chinen arrived in a black pair of pants, a sky blue polo, a VERY loose blue necktie, a black blazer and a hair soooooo cute (he could really be a hottie…:D). Every girl he passed by were squealing like hell (as if they saw MatsuJun in a nurse’s uniform…). Everyone looked at him, for they expected he would do hip-hop. He gave them a real shock. But the real shock was Hana. She arrived in a light purple gown and her hair was curled at the end and she WAS NOT wearing her usual glasses. She was surrounded by her classmates, both boys and girls. Chinen was so shocked that he can’t take his eyes off her. Hana walked towards him, and he just continued staring at her.
“Hey…does it look overly dressed?” she asked and he didn’t reply. “Hello…?” she asked again, waving her hand in front of him.
“H-huh?! Yeah! You look great in that!” he exclaimed, stammering every word. Hana softly laughed. “What?”
“Haha…you just look great, that’s all…” she smiled. Chinen fidgeted again.
“Uhm…” he blushed. “Tha-thank you…” he stammered once more.
“Oh….we should be going to the backstage already…” she suggested. “We might get late…”
“Yeah…you’re right…” he agreed, nodding his head. “Shall we?” he asked, offering his arm.
“Hai…let’s go and knock ‘em dead…Chii…” she smiled again, winking. Chinen rolled his eyes, smiling and blushing.
As they walked down the stairs (Chinen was assisting Hana), someone stepped on Hana’s gown, making her trip and fall on her knee. The student responsible gasped as soon as she realized her mistake. Chinen’s eyes grew.
“HANA!” he exclaimed, running to her aid.
“Don’t worry, it’s just a little fall-“ she ensured, trying to stand. “Ouch…” she muttered.
“We should go to the nurse’s office…” Chinen suggested. “…and have your knee checked on…”
“Okay….” Hana replied.
“I hope it’s nothing serious…” Chinen worriedly hoped.
------
Nurse’s Office
“That’s bad…falling on your knee…” the nurse said. “You might have your bones dislocated, you know…”
“I’m sorry, Nurse…” Hana smiled.
“Can she dance?” Chinen asked.
“I’m afraid she has to rest for a while…” the nurse said in regret.
“No, Nurse…I can dance…” Hana smiled again.
“Are you sure? If that hurts, it might be dangerous…” the nurse warned.
“I’m a hundred percent sure…!” she energetically said.
“Okay…but I strongly recommend that you rest…but still, it’s your choice…” the nurse said. “Just come back here if it hurts.”
“Okay…well…Chii, let’s go…hey!” Hana said as she tried to stand up and Chinen carried her. “Chii…put me down…!”
“I can’t risk it. Your knee might hurt, you know…” Chinen smiled.
“But you’ll get tired…”
“Don’t worry. It’s worth the pain…” he smiled. Hana dreamily looked at him.

School Gym
Chinen and Hana arrived when they were about to perform. He noticed HSJ sitting on the right column’s front, and his classmates sitting on the other column’s front. He sat on the end where he can communicate with his group mates.
“Hey, Ryutaro,” he called. Ryutaro looked at him. “Hi,” he greeted, waving his hand lightly.
“Oh, hi, Chii!” Ryutaro exclaimed. “Wow…you look dashing…!”
“Huh? Thanks…” Chinen smiled.
“Eh…? Oh, hi, Chii!” Yamada and Yuto exclaimed, startling the other members.
“Chii!” they all called. “Hi! Chii! Hi!”
“Hi…thanks for coming guys…” he thanked. HSJ (except for Yabu) started to become a little restless.
“Hey, guys, stop it! Don’t forget, we still have an intermission number! And you’re not on your school campus! Or any TV appearances!!” Yabu warned. The group sat properly suddenly.
“Sorry…” they apologized.
After thirteen (13) pairs, HSJ was called up the stage to do their “promised” intermission number. Every girl squealed (except Hana) and started flashing their phones out. But they were interrupted by Inoo.
“I’m sorry, beautiful ladies, but…” he said, giving the audience suspense. “…let’s do the pictorials later! Right now…we’re gonna give you the best intermission number this school ever had!” he announced, smiling, making the girls squeal more.
They went to their places and the music started playing. The lights were dimmed, and the audience grew silent. This only means one thing…
IT’S SHOWTIME!

(REACH FOR YOUR DREAM)
Yumemimashou! Yume no you na
(LET’S TAKE IT TO THE SKY)
Yume wo mimashou!
(WE CAN DO IT, WE CAN DO IT!)
Kokoro hirogete…
Everyone in the gym wildly clapped their hand. It was a very rare sight to see. They were lucky they had the chance to see it. After the VERY energetic performance, the presentations continued until it was about Chinen and Hana’s turn.
“Chinen-kun…” Okamoto called out.
“Huh? Oh…what is it, Keito-kun?” Chinen asked.
“Give the dance a LOT of emotions and romance!”
“WHAT!?”
Butting in, Yuto interrupted. “Listen to him Chii,” he said. “Take it from the expert.”
“Whatever…” Chinen sighed, rolling his eyes in dismay.
“The last pair but not the least,” the P.E. teacher said. “Chinen Yuri and Chiyaku Hana, the only pair to perform Parisian Waltz!”
Chinen and Hana stood up from their chair and slowly went up the stage. HSJ watched in awe as Chinen (unknowingly) started to become more of a man. Everyone watched them take the centerstage. The two of them (Chii and Hana) faced each other and did their stances. Chinen felt his heart palpitate more. He wasn’t sure if he had (somehow) developed some feeling for Hana. And because it was making him nervous, he HAD to know. Hana just smiled in front of him, which made him a little comfortable.
“This is it…” Chinen said, smiling back.
“Yeah…we can’t mess this one up…” Hana replied.
“Good luck to the both us…” they chorused.
The moment they both heard the music, their bodies took control. They danced from one place to the other, making a wonderful and graceful dance. Their presentation flowed beautifully. When they reached the middle of their presentation, Hana’s knee started to feel weak, but she didn’t complain or whine about it. When they reached the peak of their dance number, she slipped, and he noticed. His body took over his action. Now he knew…he didn’t want her hurt; he wants her to be always safe. Now, he knew the answer to his question. Even before she hit the floor, his flexible body caught her back and pulled her up (but he pulled way too hard that their faces were only an inch away). His suave move gave a great audience impact. Hana was looking at Chinen intensely. She was blushing, and so was he. Then, after gathering all the courage he needs…
“Hana…I like you. Will you please go out with me?”
He said it so loudly that everyone heard (a microphone was left lying on the floor beside the edge of the stage…they forgot to take it away). Everyone squealed. From the HSJ seats, Yuto rose and shouted.
“C’mon, Hana-chan!!! SAY YES ALREADY!!” he exclaimed.
“Keito…you’re right,” Yamada remarked.
“You see? I told you. You should put some feelings in the way you dance…” Keito proudly said.
*Everything went well with Chii and Hana’s relationship…all thanks to Keito’s advice of putting MORE FEELINGS in the dance. *
