Kuroshitsuji - The More I See, the More I Like

Ever since I got into Kuroshitsuji, I’ve been hooked completely. I finally finished watching both anime seasons, and I’ve caught up with all eleven manga volumes that Yen Press has published in English so far (and I can’t wait for volume 12’s release in January! Though, why must it be released on the same day as the Saiyuki Gaiden OVA?). Great series, pure and simple.

I’ve also been giving Kuroshitsuji some serious consideration, fanfiction-wise. I’ll admit, it’s too soon for me to be 100% certain. However, I’ve found this series to be one fandom in which I sincerely want to try writing. When it came to my other fandoms - Pokemon, Xenosaga, and Supernatural - the idea of writing fanfiction for them didn’t come to me until I had followed the series for quite some time. Of course, that was back when I was less experienced (and less confident) as a writer, too.

True, I’ve considered other fandoms to write before. Coincidentally, Saiyuki is another fandom I’d like to try (I even have a Saiyuki one-shot drafted, but its completion and publication are still in total limbo). But Kuroshitsuji is one of the few series I’ve stumbled upon that’s near-immediately ignited my muse. I’ve also been more and more curious about Kuroshitsuji fanworks (which are awesome, BTW! DeviantArt has so many badass Kuro fanarts, and I’m very impressed with some of the Kuro writers I’ve stumbled upon on FanFiction.Net). With so many talented writers and artists for Kuroshitsuji, it’s helped inspire yours truly.

But again, I’m merely brainstorming right now. Even if I did decide to branch into Kuroshitsuji fanfiction, it probably wouldn’t happen before the end of this year. In the meantime, I just want to soak up as much of the series as possible before I even attempt to write anything. But trust me; if at all possible, I’d like to take full advantage of this Kuro plot bunny before it hops away for good. :)
