Graduation/Mother's Day! + FCBD

(Geh, gotta retype the post. Why doesn't LJ have an automatically save like Blogspot?!)

Ok so for FCBD I got lost trying to go to the local comic book store by my place. I spent like 10-15 min searching the area for the store. I knew I was close but I just didn't see the store. Then my family called asking if I wanted to see my Grandma for Mother's day/Graduation. I agreed but I also asked them for directions. I was in the right area but I kept going back and forth on the street looking for any signs or crowds. I didn't see anything so after another 10-15 min searching I gave up. I called the place earlier but no one picked up I thought it was because it was busy but I don't think it exists anymore...-_- I was annoyed for having to waste time/money/gas. I was really exhausted by then. So I went back home.

Went back out to see my Grandma but only after hitting FCBD first at a place I know exists! It was nice. It wasn't as crowded as I thought it was going to be. Had some of my family come with me to pick up some more free comics. XD Hahaha, it was a little crowded in the store but it wasn't super bad. Saw Billy West who is the voice actor for Fry but I didn't say hi or anything. I just saw him, he seemed nice. My goal were the comics. XD Also picked up the 1st vol of Tenryu to keep up with collecting the first 2 or 3 volumes of manga I like. lol Yeah, we didn't stay too long cause I had to meet up with my Grandma(which was why almost the whole family was there). It was just a quick stop at the FCBD since I wanted to go there, they were just along for the ride. XD My brother did mention something about smelly B.O. in the store...XD I didn't smell much. lol Oh stopped by Dairy Queen really quick while we were there and ate a dilly bar. X3 How nostalgic. lol

So graduation...Yeah, it was ok. When I first got there I didn't want to be there. Too many people and parking...but it got better. Got to meet my other online classmates for the first time face to face. lol It was nice. We were geeking it out a little and chatting while waiting. Oh I was second to last to be called for my diploma since my major is Web Development and there were only 3 people who showed up for our major to graduate. lol It took awhile, there was a slide show but luckily it didn't last long, may be 5-10 min. Unlike my high school slide show which was like 20-30 min long. -_-;;  Also glad I brought my iPod, I think I would have been bored out of my mind. People were leaving right after they were getting their diploma. The guy earlier said to stick around or he'd send security after us. lol Never followed up. XD

I couldn't stand it anymore though. My family was texting asking if I wanted to leave after I got my diploma I finally agreed. But when I was done they were still sitting. XD So I sat back down thinking they changed their minds. Then after awhile they got up. I couldn't leave yet since it was too conspicuous. So I sat through a little more. I thought they would let us out first since we were last in, we'd be first out, right? Wrong. They started letting the teachers out then grad students...As soon as they were letting people out, I snuck out with the Master's students. Since I was second to last I just asked the guy next to me to let me out. lol I just couldn't take it anymore. lol I think the third to last person left with me. lol Other people were leaving right after they got their degree. I was second to last to get my degree...-_- I wasn't going to wait again. I'm glad I left, got to avoid traffic and all that. :)

Right after that we did some bouncing around and ate out for my graduation and for Mother's day. Somewhere not too expensive since we were really waiting to celebrate with my dad and brother who was getting picked up from college. I feel bad my mom had to pay for her own dinner. I had to pay $7 parking for my own graduation and the graduation fee in general....Yeah.... Life just stinks sometimes...well I don't plan on doing another graduation for a bit so hopefully I won't waste any more money. I think those were the highlights of the weekend. lol Didn't get much done but it was interesting. :D
