i got back from new york on friday, but only last night really started to feel back in the swing of things. i had some ambitions this weekend, but it looks like i'll accomplish the minimum set of said expectations (unpacking). i've actually gotten quite a bit done, but it mostly involved getting ready for my week: buying food, calling friends, making plans.
i finished a couple books while traveling, so hopefully i'll get a chance to do a write up on both of them. the sia show was a suit and tie event, hence the picture of me wearing the *one* suit i own. next time for mudd volleyball, i think i'll raid the thrift stores for old suits and make a team that plays the whole day in suits and ties. that ought to win a prize.
i'm still working through a backlog of reading. i'm as caught up as i'm going to be with lj, and i have a few other sites across the interweb that i'd like to spend some more time on. plus i need to start organizing the great todo list i put together before travelling. that was a great way to keep certain things off my mind, but i probably ought to stop using that excuse. :)
for some time i've had a set of custom filters to break up my friends page. some of the communities i belong to post too frequently to keep everything in a single list. i finally got around to turning off all communities on the default view of my friends page, so it should look a lot more manageable now. i also made all my filters public, but i have no idea where that crap is stored or whether it is accessible.
