Yesterday I moved boxes from our office to Josh's house. I managed to drive into his backyard, which made unloading into his garage a heck of a lot easier.
I'm not a member yet, as I've recently lost my job at about the time I was planning on joining. I've decided to wait until my financial situation is stable again before making any new purchases. All the same, I've been working through the first degree initiation, as I certainly don't need the excuse of non-membership as an excuse in keeping me from starting.
My first exposure to neo-paganism was through JMG at Pantheacon 2006, where he presented his Sphere of Protection ritual. I didn't really understand the framework of what he was presenting, and I didn't know that it had been presented by the same person who writes the Archdruid Report, which I started reading later. The presentation has remained influential to me all the same, and my later introduction to European mysticism through eclectic paganism combined with my original motivation of finding an earth-based spirituality has resulting in my being drawn to that combination in the AODA.
Not to mention I think the AODA is good company to keep. For all that I could complain or read complaints about JMG, as an organization it seems to have a lot more emphasis on "doing" that any other similar organization I'm aware of. I started my exploration of spirituality to find a framework in which to support my environmentalism, and I don't find much use in lip service.

At any rate, I've friended you back!
