Nekkid, I just got my *2006* Tax Refund. Apparently, back in 2006 I finished my taxes, put them in an envelope, and left them on my desk. For a year. After filing for 2007, I started getting threatened by the IRS. Dropping the envelope in the mail didn't help, and they kept threatening. The best day was getting two letters from the IRS, one

Hadn't thought of the asp, but they're fairly nice in the states where they're legal.
*tries to remember if they fall under intent-to-conceal*

When it comes to baton type weapons, I tend to favor something with a bit of flexibility to it - a fiberglass rod, for example, with a 1/2 inch diameter at 16-18 inches, which can (to some degree) be used for point work as well.
*shrugs*
That said, for defending my own home, I'm making sure to end up in states where firearms are OK as my primary line of defense. Haven't heard of anyone working firearms into ritual, and other than the heavies, they bloody rot for basic exercise though.

Always feel weird suggesting weapons and methods on the LJ, where I can't put my eyes on the person to whom I'm suggesting things. I have no idea what experience and training they've had, and always worried some suggestion of mine will be applied by someone without the requisite time-in-hand with given item, and they'll get hurt or killed.
*grins*
So, anyone reading? Go get professionally trained in your items of choice.

Rebar... katana... oddly, I can see that. Must admit though, if I ever get to where I can afford a long blade, I'll be heading after this one: http://bugei.com/product_345_detailed.htm
*worried look*
Blast. It appears the one with the balance I hunger for is... unavailable... Which will, admitedly, save me money I can't afford to spend on a weapon I'm not even remotely qualified to handle - but cor, if I ever can bloody afford it, I'll spend the required years to train up to being acceptable at it.
I'm a short blade vac, through and through - I'll probably never gain proper long blade skill - but the bugei blades make me want to try.
