So today Lauren and myself went to the mall to meet up with her mom and her grandmother who is visiting from Kentucky. While there Lauren and I were feeling courteous so when her mom asked us if we would go retrieve a wheelchair for her grandma we accepted. Then we helped her grandma get situated and pushed her around the mall in the chair while chit-chatting about this and that. Later when we dropped her off at the front of the food court and were planning on returning the chair, an older cuban woman asked if we wouldn't mind lending her the chair for her elderly mother so that she wouldn't have to walk all the way to the service center. Again we gladly accepted, and struggled to make more mindless chit-chat despite the language barrier. Language created an obstacle later on in front of publix when we tried to inform the woman parked next to us that (by the sound and look of things) her battery had died because she left her lights on.

At this point you may be asking yourself.. what does this have to do with karma??? Well...

Later after a short visit to blockbuster for some 'sluts in the city', we decided to peak inside albertson's liquor to see if our good pal was working. AND he WAS NOT. ::sigh:: So we went outside.. empty handed. As we were leaving I spotted this long haired guy headed towards the store and i got a very friendly vibe from him.

Me: "hey would you buy us beer?"
Him: "are you serious?"
Me: ".. yea.."
Him: "what do you want?"
Me: "case of miller light?"
Him: "where are you guys parked?"
Me: "over by blockbuster"
Him: "i'll meet you over there"
Me: "don't you want money?"
Him: "i'll get it afterwards"

From this point on 'Him' will now be referred to as My Savior. So we waited a bit, then soon enough he drove over to my car.

Me: "Thank you SO much.. how much was it?"
MY SAVIOR: "like five bucks"
Me: "all i have is a twenty"
MY SAVIOR: "Don't worry about it.. just take it"
Me: "are you serious?"
Lauren: "dude, no way"
MY SAVIOR: "just take it, don't worry about it"
Me: "why are you doing this?"
My SAVIOR: "because this is what i do.. i do charity work."
Me: "do you really?"
MY SAVIOR: "No.. just take it, have a good time"
(lauren hands him five bucks)

We spent the next few minutes thanking him, and introducing ourselves.

MY SAVIOR: "Have a good time"

He was exquisite. It was one of the nicest things anyone has done for me. And not because it was me.. but just kindness between two complete strangers. Which now i understand can be incredible touching. I only knew him for under 10 minutes, i only know his first name, and I will probably never see him again.. and I will never forget him.

.. I can't wait to pass on this good karma.
